Our Founders
Dr. Violet N. Ndehi and Philip K. Ndehi founded St. Hannah's so that children could grow in a school where Christian faith, careful teaching, and a family spirit belong together.
They named the school for Hannah of the Bible, who dedicated her child to God's service. In that same spirit, they set out to raise learners of character, purpose, and achievement — a vision that still guides the staff, families, and campuses of St. Hannah's today.

In Her Name
The school takes its name from Hannah of the Bible — a woman of faith who dedicated her son Samuel to God's service. In the same spirit, St. Hannah's was founded to dedicate young lives to learning, character, and purpose: raising achievers, leaders, and agents of change.
Founding Vision
Four convictions have guided St. Hannah's since day one — and continue to shape every campus, classroom, and learner today.
A Christian foundation that places character, prayer, and moral clarity at the heart of every classroom.
A commitment to rigorous learning and national curricula that empowers learners to achieve their personal best.
A warm, family-like environment where every child is seen, supported, and encouraged to flourish.
Patient, purposeful expansion — from one small nursery to five campuses serving learners across Nairobi.
Our Founders
Dr. Violet N. Ndehi and Philip K. Ndehi founded St. Hannah's and built it from a single classroom into the school it is today.

Founder
Guided by a vision to provide quality Christian education in Nairobi, our founding leadership established St. Hannah's in 1980 and opened the first classroom in 1981 with six pupils in a bungalow on Kindaruma Road.

Founder
Together with a shared belief in holistic education, our founders nurtured the school through its earliest years — building trust with families and laying the groundwork for the multi-campus institution St. Hannah's is today.
