St. Hannah’s School was incorporated in 1980 and opened its doors in 1981. The school began as a kindergarten with six pupils and was based in a small bungalow situated at Kindaruma Road.
In 1985, a primary wing was opened at Three Dee Lane, Karen.
In 1998, the kindergarten and primary school on Kindaruma Road relocated to the present day Ngong Road Campus.
In 2000, boarding facilities were introduced at the Karen campus.
In 2000, a mixed boys and girls high school was also started in Karen campus. Eric Njau and Lila Shepherd were the very first high school students.
On 7th January 2002, the boys high school was relocated from Karen campus to the Ngong Road campus, while the girls were left behind at Karen campus.
In September 2002, the boys found a permanent home at a newly constructed campus on Karen Plains Road.
On 6th January 2013, the high school girls moved into their own campus at Farm Lane, Karen.
